Observations II

8/16/22- 8/29/22

- it's cool when kids drive motorbikes to school

- bc of the farmer's revolt, people flip the dutch flag upside down so the stripes are blue, then white, then red to say they are angry with the Dutch government

- Dutch people look after each other

- i'm going to try to talk to my teachers after class to be friends with them, i don't know why i'm telling you this i'm just making a mental note for myself

- students don't really go out of their way to talk to their teachers and be friendly with them for the most part

- prices of goods are relatively cheap in the Netherlands

- WiFi is everywhere, you can get wifi practically everywhere you go

- Dutch sounds kind of funny sometimes

- there are so many bugs in my room, i have to put bugspray on every night

- there is this dessert called banaan smaak by Campina and it tastes like banana pudding, it's yummy

- tap water here is super clean. i'm a water snob but i think the water here tastes good from the sink

- it's a little really hard not to care about grades and getting academic validation
