10/3/22- 10/14/22

This is stuff in my life that has happened. Here we go!

- A few weeks ago, I watched Don't Worry Darling with Mar in the cinemas. The theatre in Alphen has a Pauze in the middle of the movie so people can get snacks or go to the bathroom. I love it! I give the movie 4 out of 5 stars. I think it was good, but Harry's performance was a little amateur plus the ending kinda felt like an "and it was all a dream" situation which is the worst. But Florence Pugh was so so great. Oh, and also they IDed me! I was honestly offended they thought I was younger than 16. Like, they thought I could have been 15 :/

- Also, watched Ticket to Paradise with my friend Anna. I rate it a 2 out of 5. I thought it was pretty awful. Also, the movie theatre was packed with old people so they would laugh at the stupidest things. But it was gezellig.

- I also watched the horror movie Smile in theatres with Anna and her friend Naomi. I don't think I could give you a rating to be honest. I watched the first scene, and then I was like nope, so I closed my eyes the rest of the movie. Sounded scary though.

- My friend Roos knows how to crochet! I've been taking crochet lessons, so I got so excited when I learned she has been crocheting since she was little. So now I've been bringing my yarn and hooks to class and she taught me how to make headbands. She also came over to teach me. She's the best teacher because she's so patient. I ask her thousands of questions and she's so nice about it. I would have been so annoyed. I learned how to make a headband, but we're on school break so she can't help me, so I've just been making headbands. I have like 5 crochet headbands already haha.

- I went to Anna's house and hung out with her friends. It was so cute cuz my best friend Alex facetimed me and she was with her friends from Milan, and we introduced each other to our new friends.

- I've tried instant ramen here (two times now!) and I do not mean to be rude but it tastes like plain noodles, no seasoning except like a bucket of salt. Made me want to cry.

- I was video calling with my parents and they were like do you miss us and I was like no but then when we hung up I just started crying.

- I went to Floriade, an international garden festival, in Almere with two Rotarians. One of them was a farmer. I asked them what they did for a living, and he was like "I'm a farmer" and I was like oh, cool. But then I was like omg, he like farms. Vegetables and things. On a farm. Which was strange when I really thought about it. He showed me this huge turnip he grew and a windmill that's on his farm. The windmill goes "whoosh, whoosh" when it's super windy.

- The Floriade was a makeshift village with different exhibits from countries all over the world that had flower exhibits and showcased how they practice sustainability in their communities. After the Floriade exhibit, they are going to use the space to build a new, functioning community!

- When I was at Anna's house, she handed me an Asian probiotic drink, the ones my grandma always give us. Reminded me of home.

- I finally found a Dutch tutor! She's a student at Scala college and super nice so hopefully I can learn more Dutch :)

- So much new music has come out, omg my heart is so happy! Taylor's new album Midnights, The Arctic Monkey's new album, the 1975 has a new album, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

That is what I can remember that's happened in the past few weeks.
